Born To Be

Born To Be

We’re born. Hand-stitched together to become someone great. Someone worthy. Someone mindful. Someone pleasant. Someone…

Often, we find ourselves quietly wondering who we were actually born to be. The search becomes everlasting—filled with questions, filled with longing, filled with a tug inside our chest that whispers, There’s more.

But in the end, we simply become who we are. And yet the question lingers: Is that really our purpose?

Purpose-driven thinking can cloud the mind. It can crowd out creativity, stifle passion, and make us feel like we’re running after a finish line that keeps moving. We start believing purpose is a destination instead of a daily unfolding. We start thinking it’s a title, a role, or a single assignment stamped on our life.

But the truth is gentler than that.

Purpose isn’t found—it’s lived. It’s revealed in small decisions, quiet moments, and the way we show up when no one is watching. It’s stitched into our laughter, our resilience, the way we love, the way we recover, the way we rise again after life has knocked us sideways.

Maybe what we were born to be isn’t some grand, unreachable version of ourselves.

Maybe we were born to be present. To be honest. To be kind.

To be a light.

To be a vessel.

To be a difference in someone’s ordinary day.

And maybe—just maybe—becoming who we are right now, with all our growing edges and soft places, is the beginning of becoming exactly who God always intended us to be.

Born to be evolving.

Born to be learning.

Born to be whole.

Born to be you.

ā€œFor we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.ā€ — Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

Your Call Today:

Walk boldly in who you are becoming. Don’t rush the process. Don’t shrink from the unfamiliar places. Lean into the quiet guidance of God, knowing every step—steady or wobbly—is shaping you. You were born with intention, crafted with care, and placed in this world on purpose.

Start where you are. Grow as you go. And trust that every layer of your life is leading you closer to the person you were born to be.
